Digital Social Media Strategist

In this role, the Digital Social Media Strategist will assist in the creation of branded digital and social media experiences informed by business analysis, consumer insights, competitive intelligence, online behavioral observation, and brand vision.



  • Execute digital strategies for our clients, covering all aspects of their digital presence, including paid, earned, owned, and shared touchpoints. The focus of this position will lean more in Social Media
  • Inspire the conception of breakthrough digital ideas and own the strategic process, ensuring timely delivery, working together with creative director and brand management lead
  • Partner with creative, planning, media, technology, and brand management teams to build effective digital campaigns, platforms, and relationships
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative primary and secondary research to gain clear, polished insights, using tools such as web and social analytics, online brand studies, social listening, digital ethnography, web intercept studies, syndicated research (e.g., comScore, Simmons)
  • Contribute to the strategic processes, including customer journey mapping, persona development, individual touchpoint strategies, content, advocacy, and influencer strategies
  • Co-develop creative briefs with the digital strategy team leaders when new messaging and strategy are required
  • Assist the briefing of the creative team on promotional and messaging changes, alongside brand management (focusing on strategic direction)
  • Keep up with the latest digital industry and digital customer trends, and share knowledge within the agency and with our clients
  • Build on creative relationships to ensure that all digital assets align with brand guidelines
  • Generate enthusiasm among the agency and our clients to produce exceptional digital work
  • Report to strategy team leader on status of projects and any strategic adjustments



  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, business, marketing, or related field; at least two years of digital strategy experience or equivalent
  • Advertising or marketing agency experience a definite plus
  • The successful candidate will have holistic experience in digital marketing, including:
    • Creating, presenting, and execution of digital strategies for top-tier brands
    • Experience with sophisticated online campaigns that extend across social, web, mobile, online advertising, search, apps, loyalty, etc.
    • Knowledge of strategies involving front-end and back-end development for websites, e-commerce, loyalty/CRM, and apps to collaborate with SME’s on bringing them to life
    • Understanding the notion of paid digital strategies (online advertising, blogger programs, search engine marketing, paid social) to collaborate with Digital Media implementation
    • Experience with social media and branded content strategy development and execution across major channels
    • Understanding and experience using analytical tools for listening, ad tracking, website, and app statistics (e.g., Google, Omniture, Brandwatch, Talkwalker, eMarketer, Statista)
    • Be a user of social media platforms (FB, IG, IN, Snap, TikTok) and up to date on innovative formats and interfaces
  • Must be passionate about, and an early adopter of, emerging trends and technology (curious minds)
  • Analytical and research skills, including some experience conducting and analyzing primary and secondary qualitative and quantitative research
  • Strong presentation skills, with experience presenting to and facilitating discussion with clients and consumers, and the ability to generate excitement and momentum at all levels of the client’s organization
