We are currently seeking a Human Resources CHRO who can help us lead the continued growth of our world-class team.
The ideal candidate will be experienced and tenured in all aspects of human resources and understand the importance and value of maintaining a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment. They will be fundamental in helping ensure our agency climate is welcoming, creative, and innovative – ultimately, a place where individuals are passionate and inspired to bring their best selves to work each day.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the current employee experience, including talent acquisition, onboarding, management, retention, and development to ensure legal compliance and formulate strategies for enhancing existing structures, processes, and policies.
- Researches, develops, recommends, and executes strategies to foster the organization’s current and future talent recruitment, hiring, and staff development while meeting diversity goals
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
- Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
- Oversees the development of job descriptions, posting ads, and managing the hiring process
- Ensuring that all employees are organized and satisfied in their work environment while overseeing the health and safety of all employees
- Guides in developing objective performance and other employee evaluations and policies
- Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements
- Provides counseling and training on existing and evolving policies to leadership and human resources staff to ensure legal compliance of management
- Support the management of disciplinary, grievance issues, investigations, and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
- Maintains knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, diversity-related issues, and best practices
- Oversee strategies for fostering the organization’s diversity goals
- Develops and/or acquires training and development to aid diversity, inclusion, and retention initiatives
- Acts as company liaison with government agencies concerning affirmative action and equal employment opportunities
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
- At least 10 years of Human Resources experience with at least three years specializing in equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, and diversity programs
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
- Proven experience as a Human Resource officer
- Knowledge and experience of HR functions (pay, benefits, recruitment, training, development, etc.)
- Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
- Maintains strong ethics, reliability, and confidentiality
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to represent oneself and the agency professionally in all internal and external communications
