Head of Data Analytics

We are currently seeking a dynamic Head of Data Analytics to join our growing media department and be our in-house media analytics expert. In addition to delivering reporting and analytics, this individual will also play a key role in setting the strategy and direction for the team as we expand our analytics capabilities and offerings for our clients. This includes establishing a cohesive data pipeline ensuring ease of access to data, creating consistent reporting for both internal and external stakeholders, and developing processes to ensure governance across the team. In addition, you’ll serve as a leader and liaison with our internal and external stakeholders, as well as agency partners, to provide expert guidance as we scale our expanding offerings. How you’ll contribute:

  • Data Integration and Management:
    • Consolidate disparate marketing data sources into a centralized, single source of truth for cross channel campaign reporting.
    • Implement data integration best practices to ensure data accuracy and consistency over time.
    • Ensure all data QA processes are established, documented, communicated, and consistently followed.
  • Reporting and Analytics:
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external clients to understand reporting requirements by conducting user interviews.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as pacing spend vs. budget, performance vs. benchmark, and creative performance.
    • Act as a liaison between the media department and internal agency stakeholders as well as agency partners as it relates to analytics.
    • Support media planners in ongoing analytics for campaign optimization.
  • Data Governance:
    • Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards for the media department.
    • Establish guidelines for data quality, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Strategy and Direction:
    • Collaborate with leadership to contribute to the strategic vision and business development of the media department.
    • Define goals and objectives for the analytics group, aligning them with overall business objectives.
    • Propose and implement improvements to reporting processes and tools, including exploring and vetting new tech to incorporate into our existing stack.
  • Continuous Learning:
    • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging tools, and technologies in the media analytics space.
    • Educate the larger team on knowledge gained and incorporate new, cutting-edge methodologies into existing reporting processes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years in media analytics, with a focus on integrating and reporting on marketing data; preferably with experience in Supermetrics and Google Big Query.
  • 7+ years hands on SQL experience at an intermediate level
  • Strong understanding of data integration, data lifecycle management and data visualization
  • Hands-on experience with data-storytelling using different types of data visualizations and business intelligence tools (Looker, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
  • A track record of improving media performance through data-driven decision making
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
