Most agencies treat social as the last stop on the production line. We don’t. At LERMA/, social strategy is the front door. It’s where people first discover, question, and decide whether to trust a brand. We don’t show up after the brief is written. We shape it.
This role sits inside our strategy department, specialized in the social strategy discipline. That means you’re working shoulder to shoulder with brand strategy, creative, brand leadership, and media every day. Not in a silo. Not downstream. You’re the connective tissue between all of it, and that’s what makes this role interesting.
We’re looking for a Social Strategist who gets culture, builds strategy, and is passionate about social media. If you also dabble in native, social content creation, that is a bonus!
What You’ll Do
- Build social strategies, content frameworks, channel strategies, and campaign briefs
- Build creative strategy for both paid and organic social – and work close with creative teams to ensure that not only channel best practices are met – but that each ad/touchpoint with audiences makes an impact
- Map out strategic content ecosystems (leveraging sources like campaign content, influencer/creator content, real-time cultural moments, activations/events, etc.) that allow brands to be strategic and agile throughout the year
- Develop and present clear, data-informed recommendations to leadership, with a strong point of view on where brands should play—and not play—across culture and social
- Develop and manage organic content calendars; informed by cultural insights, consumer behavior, and performance learnings
- Lead competitive and owned social audits that inform decisions
- Dig into social listening data and come back with insights, not just numbers
- Stay on top of social platforms daily and flag what matters before someone asks
- Run community management, trend hunting, and publishing across brand channels
- Support reporting efforts across accounts and get comfortable living in the data, because the numbers should inform the strategy, not live separately from it
- Connect the dots across brand strategy, creative, and media to make sure social is never an afterthought
- Build customized influencer/creator strategies that ladder up to broader brand strategy and objectives
- Research and vet creators based on cultural fit and audience trust, not follower count
- Write creator briefs that lead with strategy. Why before who, every time
- Support the social team on new business pitches and mentor interns along the way
- Social trend content capture/editing (light support)
What We’re Looking For
- 2 to 4 years in social strategy or related work, agency side preferred
- You know the platforms, the behavior behind them, and what earns attention
- You understand the creator economy and can tell the difference between influence and access
- Working knowledge of paid social and how it connects to organic
- Strong writer, detail-oriented, and genuinely curious about where culture is headed
- Someone who is analytical and data-driven, yet has great creative instincts
- Someone who cares deeply about doing great work and driving results. You’re curious, ask questions, and seek out opportunities to improve. You don’t just point out problems… you bring solutions, ideas, and perspectives that move the team forward
- Someone who has worked with various social tools – like, TalkWalker, Canva, or Meta Business Manager
- Bonus if you are bilingual (Spanish and English – preferred but not required)
- Bonus if you are interested in and have some experience with social content capture and editing in social tools like CapCut (preferred but not required)
How You’ll Grow
This is an early career role with real responsibility and real mentorship behind it. You’ll grow into owning accounts, leading work end to end, and shaping briefs before they’re written. We’re invested in getting you there.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
- 401(k) and annual profit-sharing retirement plans
- Paid time off: company holidays, vacation, and sick leave
- Paid maternity/paternity leave
- Annual bonus opportunity
- A dynamic, creative work environment where your contributions are valued
