We are seeking a Staff Accountant. This position will support the CFO in providing financial information including reviewing financial statements, reconciling, and preparing supporting schedules. This position is also responsible for maintaining the organization’s overall accounting systems, procedures, and policies. We believe a successful candidate for this position will be a detail-oriented person with strong multitasking, prioritization, and interpersonal skills, who enjoys working with people in a creative and fun environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support daily cash flow reports.
- Prepare monthly bank statement reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review general ledger accounts and prepare appropriate journal entries for approval in the accounting system as part of the monthly close.
- Assist with month-end, quarter and year-end close.
- Assist in client and annual audits.
- Prepare ad hoc reports as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 5+ years of accounting or finance experience required.
- Strong understanding of accounting theory and processes, quantitative skills, and problem-solving abilities
- Highly detail oriented and organized in daily work.
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
- Able to meet assigned deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work cooperatively with all levels or employees.
- Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and ask questions.
